Acoustics Australia is the flagship journal of the Australian
Acoustical Society and is published by Springer http://www.springer.com/engineering/journal/40857. It is
abstracted and indexed in CNKI, EBSCO Academic Search, EBSCO Discovery
Service, EI Compendex, Google Scholar, INSPEC, Institute of Scientific and
Technical Information of China, Japanese Science and Technology Agency
(JST), Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, Naver, OCLC WorldCat
Discovery Service, ProQuest Advanced Technologies & Aerospace Database,
ProQuest Central, ProQuest Engineering, ProQuest Materials Science and
Engineering Database, ProQuest SciTech Premium Collection, ProQuest
Technology Collection, ProQuest‐ExLibris Primo, ProQuest‐ExLibris Summon,
SCImago, SCOPUS, Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch). In 2018 the
impact factor was 0.63 and in 2019 had almost 22,000 downloads. Springer
Publishing will be promoting the special issue which will lead to an
enhanced reputation for the journal. Springer provides on‐line publication
as soon as a manuscript is completed, therefore prior to the scheduled
issue publication date.
Papers should generally not exceed five journal pages in length,
which implies a maximum of about 5000 words. Guidance on submissions
including the word and latex templates are currently available from the
Springer web site given above. Shorter articles and case studies can be
submitted as Technical Notes. Manuscripts are sent to two reviewers and we
expect that the reviews be available within four weeks of submission. To
meet the publication schedule we would prefer to receive your manuscript by
the end of October so that we can arrange for the reviews in time for final
production of the April 2021 issue. If you wish to contribute but would not
be able to meet this deadline, please let us know. In order to plan the
content would you please let us know by June 30, 2020, if you would like to
accept this invitation to submit a manuscript and provide us with a draft
title.
Please do not hesitate to contact both of us by email if you have
any questions and our addresses are given below.
