Prof. Joo-Ho Choi (PhD.)

The
PHM Society recognizes Prof. Joo-Ho Choi (PhD.) as one of the leading researchers in
the field of PHM. Among many publications, he has made some key PHM
publications including the reviews and tutorials of prognostics algorithms and
a book with the aim of helping PHM beginners theory and practice for various
engineering applications
such as the gears, bearings and batteries. He has over 100 journal and conference
publications, including more than 30 international journal papers in the PHM
and reliability. He has delivered over 40 invited speeches including the
plenary at PHM Europe 2018. He is the Guest editor of the RESS Special Issue
¡°PHM Impact in Reliability¡± since 2017. He also orchestrated the first Asia
Pacific Conference of the PHM Society (Jeju island in Korea, July 2017) as a
General Chair, which has been a monumental success in terms of quality and
participations, and laid the foundation for the PHMAP Society. Followed by
this, he has established the Korean society for PHM in 2018 and is now serving
as the first president with the mission to promote PHM in Korea.
